Affiliate & Compensation Disclosure

I'm paid two ways, and I'd rather you know both before we talk. First, a flat planning fee per trip, quoted before you commit to anything. Second, commission paid by hotels and suppliers when you stay – paid out of their margin, not added to your rate.
Why that doesn't bend my advice
Commission rates differ between properties, and the honest consequence is that some recommendations pay me more than others. I still make the recommendation the same way: the water your kids will swim in, the walk to it, the room at bedtime, the food without a car, how the staff behaves when something breaks, and the price against the alternative one island over.
Some of what I recommend pays me nothing at all – condos, individually owned villas, and properties I simply think are right for a particular family. If a lower-commission option is the correct answer, you'll get it in writing with the reasoning.
Links on this site
Most outbound links here simply point at a property or a resource I think is useful, and they pay me nothing. A small number, such as the rental car and airport transfer partners on my island guides, are referral links that may pay a small commission when you book. Those are labeled where they appear, not only on this page, and they never change which option I tell you to choose.
Questions about any of this are fair game on our call, or read what the fee covers.
